Your soul chose your body, and the changes, alterations, and evolutions you’ll experience

If you've ever had body-altering surgery or procedures, and have some conflicting feelings about it, this is for you.

For context, I saw a post recently saying that your soul chose the body that you were born in, and that it's exactly as it's meant to be.

It went on to say that you must heal the underlying reason you didn't like something before you alter it, or else you may face issues with the procedure or outcome.

Then it talked about "spiritual plastic surgery" and quantum field work. That once you heal it at that level, you can then choose how you want to look and change it from the quantum field.

Perhaps it could.

But I'm going to offer you a different perspective that feels more true to me.

I do agree that your soul chose this body.

But I also think it chose all the experiences and lessons that were majorly formative and important for your growth.

This includes any surgical alterations you've done (or will do).

The body you're in right now isn't incongruent with what your soul chose just because your human has experienced some alterations.

So yes, your soul chose this body, and everything that's come along with it.

It knew the blueprint. It had the plan. It said, Yes, I'm in for the wild journey.

Honestly, I also think that sometimes the process of alteration is actually where unconditional self-love is developed.

If changing something about your body changes how you relate to yourself and dissolves dissonance, who's to say that's always wrong?

I agree that it's ideal to do the work before you get the work, but sometimes the relationship of the two happening in harmony is actually the work.

Maybe the bigger healing is in owning every square inch of you, including your decisions and your evolutions, knowing that they, too, are part of what your soul chose.

If this spoke to you, and you'd like personalized support, you can explore the different ways we can work together here.
