There's something I've noticed, and maybe you can tell me what comes up for you when you read this.
I'm seeing how feeling beautiful affects my vibe. I am a different person when I feel beautiful. I can witness myself and how I am in my relationships.
For instance, I recently had a morning where I spent a little extra time caring deeply for my face.
I did gentle fascia brushing (the Fingertip Facelift), lymphatic drainage, and facial exercises. This is my go-to combo for when I need a literal and metaphorical lift.
Afterwards I looked and felt brighter, more toned and lifted. The fluid left my eyes, and my eyebrows raised what felt like a full centimeter.
My jawline was revealed, and my forehead softened, smoothed, and spread. My neck felt long, my skin was glowy, and my lips and cheeks were flushed pink.
I loved what I saw. I recognized myself again.
I was different but entirely me.
I walked out of the bathroom and felt an overwhelming desire to grab my husband.
To kiss his neck and playfully bite his ear. To stroke his back, squeeze him, and tell him how much I loved and desired him.
He responded instantly. The heat turned up, and his attention lasered in on me.
He told me how beautiful I was, how calming and regulating I was.
Interesting words.
What had changed was me. I felt so deeply connected to myself, my appearance, my own energy, my own luscious vitality, and wild femininity that I wanted to spread that ripple wider.
I wanted to share the sensual, euphoric feeling coursing through my body.
Beauty shifted my experience of and relationship with myself, making me feel juicy, embodied, open, and magnetic.
I think this is why husbands often thank me for my work with their wives (literally). They get more access to the woman they love when she has more access to herself.
Imagine what else in your life could expand if you felt this way more of the time?
Beauty care is identity work
I think fundamentally, we desire to feel beautiful because it affects our relationship with ourselves. It deeply influences our experience of being who we are.
And it goes beyond the primal fear that we'll be discarded if we lose our value. In case that's where you thought this was going...
Beauty care is fundamentally, at its core, identity work.
Even beauty practices, procedures, or treatments that people assume you're doing for external validation (and perhaps you are) still ultimately come down to your relationship with yourself.
Your experience of, and connection to, your beauty impacts your experience of, and your connection to YOURSELF.
Which impacts your relationships with other people, and your life.
It's no small thing.
And I think what we're really, deeply craving through everything we do in the name of beauty is deeper self-connection, safety, love, and belonging.
So, can your beauty care become a pathway to this for you?
Can you approach yourself with gentleness, reverence, and lusciousness?
Can you touch and care for yourself in a way that communicates safety to your nervous system?
Can you stop scanning your skin and body in the mirror like a f*cking predator?
Whatever it is about your appearance, or your experience of yourself that you might wrestle with from time to time, can you make room for it and still stay in full, loving devotion to yourself?
This is the work I LOVE to do with women in all of my spaces.
Helping you fall in love with yourself, and heal your self-relationship through beauty, touch, delicious self-care, and self-expression.
I love going deep into how you're tending to your beauty, how you're approaching your face and body care, and your relationship with food, pleasure, and self-expression.
There's so much healing and possibility within our work together.
