The way in which you are like clay
I want to help you understand how touch and massage keep your tissues supple, happy, and help to slow aging
This might be an odd example but stick with me ~
If you’ve ever played with clay, you know that you need the right fluid balance and hydration level for that clay to be soft and malleable. If you leave it on the counter top it begins to harden and solidify.
Your tissue is really similar in this way!
Over time with lack of movement, or repetitive expressions and patterns, and being exposed to stresses and traumas that cause us to harden in defense, we begin to lose our suppleness, our resilience and “bounciness”...
So in order to rehydrate that clay you need to add some water and work the clay a bit to distribute that fluid and rehydrate it to achieve a nice consistency. With your tissues, the hydration source is internal. It's your interstitial fluid. All water and mineral talk aside THIS IS THE TRUE WAY TO HYDRATE.
So, slow aging is really all about internal fluid balance and maintaining optimal hydration internally so that everything can flow freely ~ metabolic waste can flow out, and blood, Qi and nutrients can flow in.
If you’re interested in learning ways to slow aging, maintain your optimal fluid balance and promote the regeneration of your facial tissues I invite you to join the Inner Beauty Circle Membership!
