The power of a gentle touch in restorative facial care

Hi beautiful one, Something I’m super passionate about is the power of a gentle touch. With everything in life, but specifically I’m talking about face and body care.

Most people I see on the internet are working WAY too intensely with their faces. Even beauty care professionals! No shade, I’m not at all trying to criticize or judge. I’m trying to awaken.

I think we’re trained that we need to be intense to create change. Or maybe we’ve heard too many times that “beauty is pain” or “no pain no gain.” So naturally we think that if we’re being ultra gentle and using a light touch that we’re not doing enough.

The reason for my shift is a lifelong lesson. I’ve had to train myself to become more portent, intentional, and restrained in my own facial fare and my restorative work with clients because it was physically causing me so much pain in my hands, and stressing out my nervous system.

Out of necessity I learned to become a master of light touch. I had pain on and off for years in my work which was heart breaking because I love it so much and made a lot of changes to do this professionally.

I even bought an incredibly expensive machine to try to take the load off my body. It didn’t help because I was meant to embody these truths:

~ Change in the face and body does NOT require force. In fact, my results enhanced and improved exponentially after I started working lighter.

~ Everything is connected, from the surface to the bone because of your fascia. Yes, you need a specific type of connective touch to engage with it but it's not about deep pressure or force.

~ When you’re working with fluid a light touch is absolutely superior. Half of the reason you’re not getting results with your lymph drainage is because you’re pressing too firmly and bypassing the fluid layer. The other half is because you’re using too much glide and not working with the right direction of strokes lol

I’m being a lil cheeky but I’m on a roll.

Most of my clients are shocked when they feel how lightly I work, but they’re delighted by the results, so they are willing to stop digging into themselves in the name of beauty.

Light touch is refined, skillful, elegant, restrained, ultra feminine. This isn’t bro-fascia, this is goddess-fascia (someone quoted me once in passing and it stuck with me).

Gentle, potent, effective touch for change is one of the main pillars of my in-person restorative facial sessions.

With light fascial work, lymphatic clearing, facial exercise, Gua Sha, and deep relaxation, this session supports your body in releasing tension, encouraging fluid movement, and improving tone, allowing your face to soften, brighten, and radiate vitality.
