Supporting your face and body before and after surgery: fascia, scar tissue, lymphatic drainage, and healing

Whether you're preparing for surgery or recovering afterward, there's so much more happening than the incision itself.

Yes, there's swelling, inflammation, scar tissue, and healing.

But there's also your nervous system, your relationship with your body, and the experience of living in a body that suddenly feels different.

Helping women through these deeply transformational times is some of my favorite work because it brings together everything I love: restorative touch, fascia, lymphatic support, scar care, body image, beauty, and the relationship we have with ourselves.

Gentle support for swelling, scars, and healing

One of the biggest misconceptions about post-surgical care is that healing requires deep pressure.

My experience has been the opposite.

I use ultra-light restorative techniques to encourage fluid movement, soften scar tissue, reduce surrounding tension, and support the body's natural healing processes without force or pain.

Every incision changes the way fluid moves through the body.

I love discovering what works best for each person and watching swelling gradually resolve as the body finds its way again.

Whether someone has had cosmetic surgery, breast surgery, orthopedic surgery, or another procedure, gentle, thoughtful care can make a meaningful difference throughout recovery.

The nervous system matters, too

Surgery is a significant experience for the body.

Even when everything goes beautifully, it asks your body to process tissue injury, anesthesia, inflammation, and change.

The way I work is intentionally slow and restorative.

My intention is to create an environment where healing is supported by nurturing the nervous system, encouraging relaxation, and working with the body's natural physiology.

Healing your relationship with your body

Recovery isn't only physical.

Many women are surprised by how much surgery can bring up emotionally.

You may look different.

You may feel different.

People may respond to you differently.

Even positive changes can create unexpected questions about identity, confidence, self-expression, and the relationship you have with your body.

Sometimes a procedure creates exactly the transformation someone hoped for.

Sometimes it doesn't.

When surgery doesn't create the confidence or sense of self someone imagined, that doesn't mean anything has gone wrong.

It often means there's another layer waiting to be explored.

This is where I love bringing together beauty, body image, restorative care, and personalized guidance.
