Restorative facial care goes way beyond your face

There are incredible cosmetic benefits to restorative facial care.

Skin can look brighter and smoother. Puffiness can lessen as fluid moves more freely. Your face and neck can look more lifted, open and defined. Facial massage, lymphatic drainage and gentle fascial work can create visible changes in the way your face looks and feels.

But I don’t just touch your face.

A Restorative Facial Session is a full-system experience.

I’m a bodyworker, and I approach your face as part of your whole body. To me, your face is connected to your feet, to your fingertips. So when you come in for a Restorative Facial Session with me, I rarely begin at your head.

Your Face Is Part of Your Whole System

The way you hold tension in your jaw can’t be separated from what’s happening in your neck, chest, diaphragm, pelvis and nervous system.

Fluid movement in your face is connected to fluid movement throughout your body.

The tissues of your face don’t exist independently from the fascia, muscles, lymphatic system and structures below them. Your breathing, posture, tension patterns, scars and overall state can all influence how your face feels and how you hold yourself.

Sometimes the most meaningful shift I can facilitate in your face begins somewhere else entirely.

That’s why my approach to facial care extends beyond traditional facial massage or skincare.

What Happens During a Restorative Facial Session?

Your face is for sure a focus, but the work may move through craniosacral therapy, lymphatic drainage, gentle fascial work, viscera care, scar care, massage, stillness and intuitive touch throughout your body.

Every session is personalized to what I’m feeling and noticing in your body that day.

We may spend time supporting fluid movement and lymphatic drainage through your neck and chest. We may work with tension through your jaw, scalp or diaphragm. We may work with areas of restriction elsewhere in your body that seem connected to what I’m noticing in your face.

And of course, there is plenty of deeply restorative facial massage and hands-on facial care.

The intention is to create space for your whole system to soften, settle and move more freely.

Beauty and Restoration

This is where beauty and bodywork meet.

Your face may look brighter, smoother, more defined or less puffy. Your jaw may feel softer. Your eyes may look more open. Your neck and face may feel less compressed.

But the experience isn’t only cosmetic.

Your face, body and energy can shift.

You may feel more spacious. More settled. More connected to yourself. You may leave looking refreshed while also feeling like you’ve received deeply restorative bodywork.

That’s why I call these Restorative Facial Sessions.

The beauty is real.

And the restoration goes much deeper than your face.
