Bringing your face back into place - what is restorative care

Hello beautiful soul. First off I’m wishing you gentleness.

I saw a friend post a really lovely poem about the softness of April and I responded something like “I love that for you, but April has felt more like a fire storm for me.”

So, whatever you're feeling there’s A LOT moving through right now. Big energy, big initiations, big tests.

And all the more reason to let your restorative care be your refuge. When you can hold yourself tenderly during times of stress and transition you are building so much strength and capacity.

Personally, I’m navigating seasons of deep change, and I know how much it can bring up. The kind of moments that ask you to hold more, feel more, and process more than usual.

I’ve been really living my restorative facial care practices as my tether during these periods.

In case you aren't sure, let me share what restorative care is, and what it can do for you.

This all applies to the body too and it’s all connected but let’s stick with face for now.

In really simple terms I see it as bringing your face and neck back into place gently and consistently after life, stress, and gravity have affected it.

This keeps you looking and feeling more lifted, toned, smooth, glowy, and youthful.

It’s helping your face and neck (skin, tissues, fluid, bone) maintain their structure, form, function, and posture. It’s slowing down the effects of time (aging) by reducing the overall stress load and resetting it.

It’s restoring natural fluid and detoxification pathways, relaxing and calming your nervous system, and creating the environment for healing and repair.

It’s gently stimulating your bone, muscles, and fascia to proliferate new cells and regenerate.

My favorite methods and what I use in my restorative facial sessions are: light fascial work, lymphatic clearing, facial exercise, and Gua Sha. Things you can do while in the car, watching tv, or gazing lovingly into your eyes in the mirror.

I’m here to support you in knowing how to deeply care for your beautiful face with your hands, and to give you a practice that actually works. Something you can come back to again and again.

If this is something you’ve been craving, a way to care for your face and body that you can return to again and again, this is exactly what we explore inside Embodied Beauty Collective.

And if you’re wanting deeper, hands-on support, my restorative facial sessions are available.

Love,
Krista
