How to have a "light touch" with your beauty & soul care
Last week I channeled the universal energetic beauty theme, and it was all about shifting into a lighter touch when it comes to your beauty routine. This could look like:
- Softening your pressure when you do your self-massage, feeling into your skin with the gentlest of touch, tapping into your receptive nature and your energetic body. This floods your system with oxytocin (the love hormone) and creates feelings of safety and ease. And remember - that's how your body heals and regenerates!
- Letting your hair dry naturally and easing up with the products, hot tools, and ridged styling routines. This week is asking you to tap into your inner wild child and let your hair BE.
- Spending less time in the mirror and starting and ending your day with the lights off in the bathroom. I actually installed a soft, warm, pink Himalayan salt bulb above the vanity, and I unscrew the others when I want some mood lighting and to resist the urge to "study" my face.
- Giving yourself permission to take some time off of your beauty routine. I know, yes I recommend it! Don't rush through it because you think you HAVE TO. Only do your massage and Gua Sha when you have time to do them mindfully. Because when it's hurried and rushed, it creates anxious frantic energy.
I'd so much rather see you take a moment to stretch and relax before bed instead of slamming in a wrinkle smoothing session.
