Beauty IS that deep: Reflections on beauty, intuition, grief and self-relationship

Hi beautiful soul. I'm just settling back in after a gorgeous lil lake house getaway with some friends in Ithaca.

The water was sparkling clear, the views expansive. So quiet, so serene. There was laughter and connection, deep contemplation, co-journaling sessions, amazingly nourishing food, vulva-sunning, hikes and waterfalls. (Anyone else craving a retreat like this? Reply back. For real.)

I don't know what it is about Upstate NY, but every time I go, it feels like I meet another part of myself. Another soul layer emerges. More clarity arrives.

I've been contemplating so much lately. Mainly about beauty, choices, grief, our relationship to our bodies, and ultimately, ourselves.

There are three things I want to share with you:

ONE: Relaxation helps you access your intuitive gifts.

What I've witnessed time and time again with clients, and myself, is that when you feel safety, pleasure, peace and relaxation, you can access deeper consciousness, connection and awareness.

Recently, I've had clients hear and communicate with their spirit guides. Some have had visions of themselves transcending obstacles they felt stuck on. Some saw colors and lights that felt symbolic to them. Some received messages and deep clarity.

All while receiving nurturing beauty care.

So yes, this work can make you look refreshed, contoured and glowy. But it can also help you access something so much deeper than beauty. And I don't say that lightly because girl, beauty IS deep.

I always say that healing beauty practices are a portal to your soul, and this is really what I'm talking about.

It creates wholeness.

TWO: Feelings can move like water.

When you really allow yourself to feel your feelings in the moment, regret, anger, sadness, grief, without judgment, they can move through you like water.

When you resist them, they can become amplified and distorted. It makes you want to jump out of your skin. Vacate the building.

But if you practice staying with yourself during those hard moments, you'll see that feelings can soften. Love, trust and clarity can emerge.

It's an ongoing practice.

Can you feel intense grief without leaving yourself?

THREE: I was recently interviewed on the STIRRINGS podcast.

And this was DEEP.

If you love conversations about body intelligence, fascia, touch, regulation, restorative care, intuition, energy and craniosacral work, our relationship with ourselves, aging and beauty, and what becomes possible when we slow down enough to listen to what the body is communicating, this pod episode is for you.

And lastly, if you're interested in working with me one-to-one virtually or in-person, or exploring my community offerings, you can find all the ways to work with me here.

Love, Krista
